When sealcoating your driveway, there are two main methods you may need to consider; brush application and spray application.
Brush sealcoating is a process where the sealer is literally brushed into the pavement. This method is, typically, slightly more expensive, but does give a thorough, long-lasting sealcoat. Brush sealcoat typically lasts 4-5 years.
Spray application sealcoating sees the sealer being sprayed out over the asphalt. A project has to be larger in scale for a spray application to be suggested. Unlike the deep penetration that happens with brush application, spray application sealcoat does not have the same longevity or protections. However, it is a faster process for larger properties and tends to be less expensive. Spray sealcoat typically lasts 2-3 years.
